For certified divers

Dive sites for certified divers

The same coast, deeper: reef profiles around 30 metres, overhangs and ledges where the rock leans out over open water, swim-throughs for those trained to use them — and the deep sites, for those qualified for them.

Standard certified profiles

Around 30 m on the reefs beneath the castle: the boulder slopes continue down, the walls and ledges gain height, and the overhangs and swim-throughs of the cave coast become part of the dive rather than scenery seen from above. The guide plans the profile from your certification, your logbook and the day's conditions, and leads it.

How the guide plans your profile

Before the boat leaves, the guide looks at your certification card and logbook and asks how recently you last dived. From that, the group and the morning's sea, the guide sets a maximum depth and time, a route and a turn pressure for each dive, and briefs it. A diver returning after a long gap gets a conservative first profile; a pair of experienced Advanced divers may get the ledges and a swim-through on the second dive. The plan is the guide's, and it is final.

Buddy procedures apply throughout: a check before the descent, staying within reach, air signals at the agreed pressures, a controlled ascent with a safety stop. This is the way certified diving is taught worldwide, and it is the way it is run here.

The deep sites

The deep sites on this coast go down to 60 m. They are dived only by suitably qualified divers — deep-diving training and logged experience at depth — and only when the dive team agrees on the day. An advanced card is where that qualification begins, not where it ends.

Overhangs, swim-throughs and the overhead line

Overhangs and swim-throughs — passages open at both ends with daylight throughout — are part of certified diving here. Cave penetration beyond the daylight zone is not, unless you are trained for overhead environments and have agreed it with the team beforehand.

What is not on this coast

Wrecks. The Paris II and the DO-28 lie off Kemer and Antalya, not Alanya. Night diving is not offered.

This is the certified experience: 75 € per person, two guided dives, pay on the day.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I dive to 60 m with an Open Water card?

No. The deep sites are for suitably qualified divers by agreement with the team. An Open Water diver dives the standard profile the guide plans.
