Your diving day
Your diving day, from your hotel door to your hotel door
About 7–8 hours, most of it on or under the water. Here is the shape of the day — the exact timings depend on your hotel and the sea, and we confirm them with you the day before.
1. Hotel pickup
An air-conditioned vehicle collects you from your hotel in Alanya or one of the nearby resorts — Oba, Kestel, Mahmutlar, Kargıcak, Konaklı, Avsallar, İncekum, Türkler and Okurcalar. Your pickup time depends on where you stay and the day's route, so we do not print one here: we confirm it with you personally the day before.
2. Arrival at the harbour
The drive winds down to Alanya harbour, below the castle walls and the Red Tower. The dive boat waits at the quay; you meet the crew and the instructors, find a place on deck and get the sun cream on.
3. Equipment preparation
Wetsuit, mask, fins, BCD and regulator are sized and fitted to you on the boat, and weights are set for your build. Certified divers show their card and logbook and talk through their experience with the guide.
4. Safety briefing
Breathing, equalising, hand signals, the plan for the first dive and the emergency procedures for the site. Certified divers get the site briefing: maximum depth and time, route, buddy procedures, surface routine.
5. Boat departure
A short cruise along the coast past Cleopatra Beach, with the castle rock above you, to the day's site — chosen that morning by the crew from the sea conditions and the group.
6. First dive
Beginners: 5–8 m for 15–25 minutes beside the instructor, learning to breathe and relax. Certified divers: the first of two profiles, led by the guide.
7. Surface interval
Back on the boat to rest and off-gas. Snorkel or swim from the boat, have a coffee, log the dive, plan the second.
8. Second dive
Beginners descend to about 13 m with the instructor, along the reef where the fish live and the cave mouths open. Certified divers dive their second profile — often a different feature of the site.
9. Lunch on board
A hot lunch with drinking water, served on the boat in a sheltered bay. Soft drinks, tea, coffee and alcohol are available to buy; alcohol only after your last dive.
10. Return and hotel transfer
The cruise back to the harbour in the afternoon, then the vehicle to your hotel. Certified divers get their logbook signed before they leave the boat.

What time is the pickup?

How long is the boat trip to the site?
Short — the sites lie in the waters off Cleopatra Beach, a brief cruise from the harbour. Most of the day is spent at the site, not travelling to it.
Can a non-diver come along?
Often, yes, at a reduced rate — on request. Tell us in the booking notes or on WhatsApp and we will confirm what is possible for your date.
